Lions fans will have the chance to see the reigning Premiers in training mode as part of the 2025 AFL Community Camp.

The three-day camp running from January 22 - 24 will see Lions players visit 11 local AFL clubs from Caloundra to Gympie, immersing themselves in the local community.

The camp includes open training sessions on Wednesday and Friday at the Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex.

Lions Premiership player, Jaspa Fletcher said the team was looking forward to heading into camp on the Sunshine Coast next week.

"It’s awesome to get back out in the community and train up on the Sunny Coast. Last year we had a lot of fun, got to see all our fans and spend time as a squad.

“To get back up there, with a change of scenery, gives us all the chance to really crack into it and get ready for the practice matches.”

Brisbane Lions Community Manager, James Dowling said the Club can’t wait to get back into the community and show appreciation for the role that local communities play at a grassroots level.

“We are super excited to be heading up the Sunshine Coast next week, along with the 2024 Premiership Cup, and are looking forward to seeing all the Lions fans either at training or as part of our community visits across the region," Mr Dowling said.

“We have a great support base across the Sunshine Coast and a growing group of players who all played their junior footy across the Coast.

“The entire club is looking forward to the camp and hopefully we can inspire a few more kids to pick up a Sherrin.”
