Council’s next Community Grant round is now open for applications. Whether you’re a creative arts group, heritage society, local hall, chamber network, sporting group, or another not-for-profit, Council offers grants that can help community organisations deliver one-off projects, activities and events.

Sunshine Coast hinterland communities treasure star-filled skies. Now, as Queensland’s first Dark Sky Reserve, everyone can help protect dark skies for future generations, as well as for wildlife, lower energy costs, lower emissions and hinterland businesses.

Mayor Natoli welcomes the Federal Budget’s funding for housing, infrastructure and small business but expresses disappointment at missed local priority projects, reaffirming Council’s commitment to advocate for greater support for the growing Sunshine Coast.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share. We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the important role First Nations people continue to play within the Sunshine Coast community.
