Join the "Waste Not, Want Not" composting workshop and discover the secrets of backyard composting using a simple glass jar.

This free event, open to ages 16 and over, is a fantastic opportunity to reduce landfill waste and create nutrient-rich soil for your garden.

Presented by EnviroCom Australia as part of Sunshine Coast Council’s Waste 2 Resource program, this hands-on workshop will teach you how to set up and maintain your own composting system.

Bring your own 500ml glass jar from home, and we'll provide the worms and all other materials needed.

You'll receive personalised advice on the best composting set-up for your needs, and you'll even get to make a mini compost garden to take home.

It's a fun and practical way to learn about organic recycling and make a positive impact on the environment.

Don't miss out on this chance to get your hands dirty and learn something new. Registration is essential, so sign up today and start your composting journey.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share. We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the important role First Nations people continue to play within the Sunshine Coast community.
