Thriller fans will love this special event
Dive into a world of Australian crime with acclaimed Scrublands author Chris Hammer at Venue 114 on Saturday 5 October.
Hear Chris talk about his superb new crime thriller The Valley, with special guest interviewer, ABC Sunshine Coast radio broadcaster Sheridan Stewart.
His first novel, Scrublands received critical and commercial success with the television version released world-wide late last year.
Directed by Greg McLean and starring Luke Arnold, Bella Heathcote with Jay Ryan as Father Byron Swift, the series received high praise.
His novels have been hailed as a masterclass in rural crime noir with The Valley featuring a page-turning plot, intriguing characters, and an evocative sense of place—where nothing is ever quite what it seems.
Chris is a respected journalist with a 30-year career covering Australian federal politics and international affairs. He recently won the ACT Book of the Year for his gripping crime thriller, The Seven. And is the author of international bestsellers Scrublands, Treasure & Dirt and The Tilt.
