Celebrating 50 Years of Caloundra Library

For five decades, Caloundra Library, part of the network of Sunshine Coast Libraries dotted across our region, has been a place for community to connect, learn and share stories. To mark this milestone, everyone is invited to a special community celebration with live music, cake, and a chance to reflect on how the library has grown over the years. The event is free and all ages are welcome, so register now and come along to help us celebrate 50 years of Caloundra Library.

Queensland Seniors Month

Join in the statewide celebration recognising the important contribution older Queenslanders make to our communities. Light up your home or shopfront windows purple and pink in a shining celebration of older Queenslanders and Seniors Month. Towards the end of October, you also can shine a special light on grandparents – yellow and orange in celebration of Grandparents Day (Sunday 25 October).

There are lots of health and wellbeing activities for older people, including three special ‘My strength and balance!’ workshops in October. Check out the Healthy Sunshine Coast website for details.
