Learn how to love your leftovers and save
Here’s your chance to save money and reduce waste by learning how to better preserve your food and love your leftovers.

Did you know Australian households throw away between $2,000 and $2,500 worth of food each year?
Join Waste Education Officer Chloe Abernethy to learn tips to keep food fresh for longer and stretch that grocery budget.
The top five most wasted foods in Australia are:
- Vegetables
- Bread
- Fruit
- Bagged salad, and
- Leftovers.
Strong Community Portfolio Councillor Taylor Bunnag said the workshop would teach food storage tips that made a positive impact on the planet and your pockets.
“Save money with the meal planner template, freezer labels and portion calculator, as well as getting a goodie bag to take home,” Cr Bunnag said.
