This year, the festivities are at Gateway Care in Caloundra West, with stalls, speaker program, live entertainment, demonstrations, activities for the young and young at heart, the return of the popular smoothie bike and much more.

Gateway Care, a not-for-profit organisation connecting the community with “rescued” food, is a key partner for the event.

Ways for everyone to become a BiospHERO

A “rescued food” cooking demonstration will showcase how food that would otherwise go to landfill can become a delicious meal while cutting food waste, saving money and eating well.

BiospHERO Day arrives just ahead of International Day for Biosphere Reserves on November 3.

It is the latest in a program of events celebrating people and nature across the year in our Sunshine Coast Biosphere.
