'Drizzle boy' self-discovery viewed in a different world

Drizzle Boy, performing at The Events Centre, Caloundra on Friday 18 October.

A sell-out of Queensland Theatre's 2023 Season and winner of the Queensland Premier’s Drama Award 2022-23.

Drizzle Boy launches its Queensland regional tour later in the year with Sunshine Coast residents being the first to witness the opening performance.

Audiences will warm to the charming and witty coming of age story as Drizzle Boy experiences university and falling in love for the first time and, his parents (Emily Burton and Kevin Spink), adapt to his burgeoning independence.

More than a journey of self-discovery, Drizzle Boy is a window into what it is like to see the world differently. If you’ve seen the film Rain Man, Drizzle Boy will strike a chord in your heart, beautifully played by neurodivergent actor Daniel Nixon.

Event: Queensland Theatre’s Drizzle Boy

Date: Friday 18 October at 7.30pm
