Cooking up beachside picnic fun at Kings Beach
Families are invited to roll out the picnic blanket and enjoy a spectacular day of food, fun and entertainment when Picnic on Kings brings the Kings Beach Amphitheatre alive on Saturday 25 July.

A signature event on The Curated Plate festival program, this event will transform the Kings Beach parkland into a vibrant, family-friendly celebration from 10am to 4pm, with two distinct zones designed to delight visitors of all ages.
Zone 1 - Stage show sessions
A highlight for fans will be Bluey and her sister Bingo, who are heading to Kings Beach for real life! Families can catch this adorable due on stage for the Bluey Live Experience to play Magic Asparagus, Keepy Uppy, Magic Xylophone and more.
The ticketed Stage Show zone will host two sessions packed with entertainment, including live music, a 4 Ingredients cooking competition and the Bluey Live Interactive Experience.
Zone 2 - Activation area
Meanwhile, the FREE Activation Zone will be open to the public throughout the day, offering a range of hands-on activities and experiences. Families can enjoy interactive planting and cooking activities, taste tests, meet local producers, explore beehive learning displays, and relax with live entertainment, food trucks and picnic-style dining options.
Children will also be entertained with lawn games, face painting, a petting zoo and the Sunshine Coast Libraries reading corner, making the event an ideal day out for the whole family.
Caloundra day out
Sunshine Coast Division 2 Councillor Terry Landsberg said Picnic on Kings was designed to celebrate our region’s local produce, community spirit and relaxed coastal lifestyle, while providing a fun and engaging experience for families.
“It’s just one example of how The Curated Plate activates our stunning coastal spaces like Kings Beach while showcasing the incredible hinterland farmers and producers who are at the heart of our region,” Cr Landsberg said.
“The event is an opportunity for families to connect with where their food comes from, meet local producers and enjoy a fun, relaxed day out by the beach with much-loved characters like Bluey and Bingo.
"I encourage those attending to bring a picnic blanket and settle in for a day by the sea and enjoy everything from tasty local eats to live entertainment and interactive activities.”
Tickets for the Stage Show sessions are $16.50 per person (children under 12 months free), while the Activation Zone is free to enter throughout the day.
