Free workshops for Sunshine Coast creatives  

Sharpen your business and marketing skills through a free professional development series launching this September.

Sunshine Coast artists, creative businesses and arts organisations are invited to a innovative professional development workshop series that offers real-world, practical tools tailored specifically for the creative sector.  

The series is presented by Council in partnership with Light Industry and facilitated by Creative Plus Business, Australia’s leading creative business specialists. Participants will learn everything from branding and marketing to business planning, selling work and getting gigs.

The program is designed for creatives at all career stages, from emerging artists and small collectives to established organisations.

Creative Sector Development lead Megan Rowland said it was exciting for the industry that Creative Plus Business would be coming to the region for the first time.

"They'll be supporting our creatives with practical skills that can make a real difference," said Megan Rowland.

"We hope this series will encourage creatives to come out of their studios and be inspired to think about how they can build a sustainable practice” 

Sessions are delivered with humour, clarity and no jargon, helping participants confidently take the next step in their creative careers.

A special I Hate Networking event will close the series—offering a relaxed and fun way to build genuine industry connections.  

The workshops run September to November, are free and open to individual creatives, collectives and organisations living, working or connected to the Sunshine Coast.
