Revamps completed for two Nambour parks
New hinterland park facilities have been warmly welcomed by community.
Nambour residents are in for a treat with upgrades at Quota Park and Petrie Park now finished.
Our community can enjoy revamped facilities including the new three-metre-wide footbridge over Petrie Creek in Quota Park.
This upgrade will improve accessibility for all members of our community in this beautiful area. This section of works ensures better connectivity to the skate park, Youth Activity Precinct and cenotaph to the new park extension to the east.
Park improvements included realigning, extending and renewing the footpath within Quota Park, with planting of additional trees and plants.

Petrie Park also now boasts new parking, a two-and-a-half metre wide pathway and park improvements including new tables and seating facilities provided along the creek.
This project received funding from the Queensland Government’s Disaster Resilience Funding Arrangements after being washed out in the 2023 major flooding event. The pathway has been reconstructed and realigned on the higher bank.
