This week’s bush fire in Beerwah is a timely reminder for Sunshine Coast residents and visitors to be prepared before the next severe weather event.

The Bureau of Meteorology is also forecasting that today (Thursday, 21 September 2023) will have temperatures in the 30s and a high fire danger rating, along with the prediction of warmer, drier conditions over spring and summer.

There are three simple steps you should take to help safeguard your family, home and business from extreme weather events.

The Disaster Hub displays weather warnings, road closures and evacuation centres listed on one easy-to-use site. It also links to airport updates, traffic cameras, flood mapping and Council’s news updates and social media.
