It is possible to return to town via roads. When walking by the creek make sure you keep your eye out for platypus.

AFTERWARDS
There are picnic places and bush toilets at Gardners Falls and a number of popular swimming holes.

If you want to have a varied walk on your way back stay on the same side of the creek and do a loop around Maleny Golf Course, taking Obi Lane and Porters Lane to reconnect to the cement section of the trail.

The Spicers Tamarind resort and restaurant are across the creek near Gardners Falls and just down Obi Lane South – for when you have a special occasion to celebrate.

There are also many fine cafes and restaurants at Maleny.

HOW TO GET THERE
To the starting point: Head to the roundabout at the junction of Maple, Coral and Bunya Streets and find a car park close by.

The walk starts about 10 metres from the roundabout on the same side of the road as Woolworths, on the creek bank opposite – you can’t miss the boardwalk.

To the end point: The end point being the same as your starting point. You can make this an out and back trip or a circular trip by returning via roads.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share. We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the important role First Nations people continue to play within the Sunshine Coast community.
