When you think of libraries, you might picture rows and rows of books but in this digital age libraries are so much more!

Sunshine Coast Libraries Digital and Subscription Officer, Jess Britland said the main thing our members loved about the eLibrary was its convenience.

“Members no longer need to physically visit the library to borrow resources, they can simply log in from their computers, tablets or smartphones,” Jess said.

“This access is especially valuable for those with busy schedules, as it allows our readers to engage with library resources on their own terms.”

Sunshine Coast’s eLibrary includes eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines and newspapers, music, movies and more. All free to use with your library membership.

The eLibrary has a diverse collection of fiction, non-fiction and educational materials. Readers can explore new subjects, enhance their skills or just enjoy the the latest stories from favourite authors. There is something for everyone.

The eLibrary is a popular resource among library members. In 2023 members borrowed 100,000 eBooks, 245,000 eAudio books, thousands of magazines and more.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share. We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the important role First Nations people continue to play within the Sunshine Coast community.
