Queensland Multicultural Month is a time to share and learn about our diverse community.
This August, celebrate the many languages and cultures that make the Sunshine Coast such a vibrant place to live.
Did you know that Sunshine Coast Libraries offers over 2,300 books in 38 languages other than English (LOTE)?
Visit your local library to connect with your culture, maintain language skills, learn something new or simply enjoy stories from around the world.

Online resources
The Language Collection also gives you access to eBooks and eAudiobooks via CloudLibrary.
Simply download the CloudLibrary app, select 'Sunshine Coast Libraries Language Collection' and log in with your free library membership to start borrowing.

Children’s learning
Young readers can explore LOTE4Kids, which offers stories in more than 100 languages, including French, German, Spanish, Thai and Auslan.
Children can read along, listen to stories and enjoy activities that support language development and literacy skills.
The free LOTE4Kids app is available on iOS and Android for reading on the go.

If you’re not a library member yet, joining is free and easy – just visit your closest branch or mobile library to sign up.
