Seven Years to go: kids make it count

Sunshine Coast Grammar students formed a giant ‘7’ to mark seven years until Brisbane 2032, celebrating youth and community as part of Council’s 7 Years to Grow campaign.

In a burst of colour, energy and community spirit, 400 students from Sunshine Coast Grammar School came together on July 29 to form a giant number ‘7’ on their school oval—captured in one spectacular take.

The moment marked seven years to go until the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and was part of Council’s 7 Years to Grow initiative.

This vibrant campaign celebrates the growth and opportunity ahead for our region, with a special spotlight on young people—the future athletes, volunteers, workers and leaders of 2032. Whether they’re dreaming of standing on the podium, helping behind the scenes, or cheering from the sidelines, these students are already part of the Games journey.

The video captures a powerful symbol of what’s to come, and a reminder that the countdown to Brisbane 2032 is well underway.

Watch the video and get inspired.
