How a library membership became a family favourite for local Beerwah residents.
Since moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2020, Beerwah Library has become a favourite for Sean's family.
The father of two said the whole family loved the variety libraries had to offer and often spent time in the play area with his kids exploring hidden gems before adding them to their borrowing bag.
Sean is a busy Sunshine Coast professional who uses his library membership to access eBooks and the eLibrary app when he's on the go and often uses the library for a fun afternoon activity with his two children.
“We come to Beerwah Library nearly once a week, it really is a whole family affair!” Sean said.
“The librarians make us feel welcome. On our last visit, the librarian spoke with us for quite a while about the characters in the boys' books."
Sean’s son, Conor, said that the library was one of his top three places, second to playing cars with his twin brother.
Sunshine Coast Library memberships are free and open to everyone. Membership includes a range of free services for the whole family such as wifi, workshops, and computer access. Library members can borrow up to 50 books, DVDs, games and toys from a large collection.
