Keep pets safe during the holiday season

It wouldn't be the holidays if your pet didn't get up to a little mischief - eating the ham and sneaking out of an unlocked gate. Celebrate safely and keep your furry friends out of trouble.

As the holiday season kicks into high gear, it's not just humans who get up to mischief. Our furry friends can also find themselves in trouble, from knocking over the Christmas tree to munching on chocolate or tearing apart gifts. However, there are other holiday hazards pet owners should be aware of.

Summer storms, hot weather and visitors leaving gates open can pose significant risks to pets. Fireworks can be frightening and disorienting for animals.

With a bit of forward planning, pet owners can ensure their pets stay safe and enjoy the celebrations. Make sure to secure gates, provide a cool and comfortable environment and keep pets indoors during fireworks.

By taking these precautions, you can help your pets enjoy the festive season almost as much as you do. Keep them safe and happy and make this holiday season memorable for all the right reasons.
