How ratepayers can collect free trees

Sunshine Coast ratepayers are eligible to collect two free trees twice a year – that’s four trees a year from the Council nursery.

Did you know that Sunshine Coast ratepayers are eligible to collect two free trees twice a year – that’s four trees a year from the Council nursery.

The only conditions are that you need to present a current rate notice and collect the trees on Wednesdays between 1pm-3pm from Council’s Caloundra Depot Nursery at 54 Industrial Avenue.

Sunshine Coast Council provides a selection of small, medium and large trees including specific species native to the area.  You can chat to Council’s tree-mendous team to find the right plants for your garden.

Native trees provide so many benefits to our environment, increase shade, cool our urban areas and are an essential food source and benefit our wildlife habitats.

Last year, Council distributed 1200 free trees through the ‘free trees for ratepayers’ program.

We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the important role First Nations people continue to play within the Sunshine Coast community.
