Looking for an easy, scenic outing the whole family will love? This rated‑EASY riverside loop between Mountain Creek and Warana is a local favourite – although some locals might wish we kept this gem a secret.

Suitability

Perfect for walkers, runners and recreational cyclists. Pram and wheelchair friendly, dog‑friendly (on lead) – easy all round.

Highlights

Also known as the Lake Kawana Loop, this peaceful 4km circuit takes you across the Mooloolah River via a cement causeway, with parklands on both sides. Despite being close to urban areas, it’s surprisingly tranquil.
Enjoy shaded rest stops with river views, and at the half‑way point, detour up to the bridge, cross at the roundabout and rejoin the path on the other side of the lake.
