“Applications are now open and close on October 30.”

Council’s Community Grant Recipient Caloundra Community Centre Inc. was able to see their project Make Art, not war make a difference in their new community.

Baringa Community Centre Coordinator Tomas Passeggi said the project promoted social inclusion through the engagement of young people and comprised of a two-day workshop in street-art techniques and the creation of free-standing murals.

“The project linked and engaged young people to the Community Centre and activated a space which is not traditionally frequented by them,” Mr Passeggi said.

“We were thankful for the grant received by Sunshine Coast Council to be able to run an effective and creative workshop.”
