There is something for everyone with a diverse calendar of events coming to Venue 114.

Australia’s hottest indie band, Spacey Jane, has sold out their only Sunshine Coast show scheduled to play at the popular community venue.

Venue 114 Manager Louise Thompson said the Sunshine Coast community was in for a treat with an exciting calendar of events in 2023.

“ Venue 114 has an  impressive year ahead with an incredible line-up of homegrown bands as well as curating and hosting a number of cultural, business and youth events. ,” Ms Thompson said.

The Jungle Giants

The dance-pop sensation that’s developed a reputation for sell-out tours and dazzling festival crowds is coming to the Sunshine Coast.

Known for their electronic music and guitar pop, the Aussie band are fast becoming an unstoppable force, having amassed well over half a billion streams worldwide and growing.

Sunshine Coast locals will be immersed by  an explosive high-energy live performance.

It will feature hits from their #1 ARIA-charting fourth album Love Signs, including Heavy Hearted, Sending Me Ur Loving and the title track, Love Signs

The Magical World of Crazy Science

Giant columns of elephant toothpaste, high-flying toilet paper and zooming smoke rings … get ready for science as you’ve never seen it before.

These weird and wonderful effects will be part of The Magical World of Crazy Science show, which is returning to Venue 114 at Bokarina

The show, aimed at young people aged from four to 12 years of age, will be presented by a world-recognised, multi award-winning entertainer, magician, and visual artist, who is also a scientist and teacher.

Richard Scholes fuses magic, comedy, mime and music to teach children about science in a fun way.

When: Wednesday, June 28, 2023

Everyone’s favourite Childrens Television show is heading on a national concert tour, Play School with “Humpty’s Showtime”,

Join Humpty as he gathers together the Play School Toys to help with the big spectacular show. There are starring roles for Jemima, Big Ted, Little Ted and guest appearances from other Play School favourites along the way. Filled with fun songs to sing and dance along with, this 45 minute show will delight Play School fans. Join Humpty and his friends in Humpty’s Showtime!

Giving Met Gala creative vibes, The Australian Wearable Art Festival is back for 2023.

Merging art, science, fashion and technology will result in wearable pieces of art and sculptures that inspire, intrigue and motivate. This is Australia’s largest wearable art show with a focus on recyclable garments and sustainability initiatives, more than 40 national and international entries take to the catwalk in a spectacular night of high end creativity and entertainment.

Multi-platinum and critically acclaimed Sydney trio, DMA’s is coming to the Sunshine Coast.

This modern Australian pop-rock band with a hint of Britpop influence has announced it will stop at Venue 114 this October.

DMA’S tour will feature their latest single Something we are overcoming from its hotly anticipated album How Many Dreams? as well as cult-favourites Delete, Silver and Life Is a Game of Changing.

The anthemic trio has gone from conquering the main stage at Reading and Leeds to amassing more over 400 million streams, and the DMA’S are ready to shake off any genre expectations with their latest releases.
