Over 300 of South East Queensland's most talented performers are gearing up to take center stage at the seventh annual, multi-award winning Buskers By The Lake.

Hitting Kawana's Sportsmans Parade on the October long weekend, Buskers by the Lake is a multi-day, multi-event festival with a highly curated must-see line-up of out-of-this-world entertainers and performers. Dancing dogs, acrobatic archers and wheel-of-fire daredevils are just a taste of the artists who will join spirited crowds at the festival's picturesque lakeside location.

Set to be a fun-filled, family day out jam-packed with music, artists and creative activities, festival-goers will also have the opportunity to directly support the festival's incredible buskers. As they wind their way along the glistening Lake Kawana, fans can support their favourite acts by distributing tip tokens and their spare cash stash. Festival Organisers have worked hard to keep ticket prices low to encourage tipping and each ticket includes tip tokens to kick things off. Every cent from cash tips and tip tokens will go directly to each artists.

“Buskers by the Lake is about showcasing the hidden talents of the busking community and this years’ event will not disappoint,” says festival organiser, Cindy Jensen. “From the master of levitation, Golden Boy and the amazing musical talents of pitch-perfect musician, William Martinelli, to the skateboarding daredevils tearing up the floating half-pipe and the juggling finesse of Melon theHuman, there are so many talented gems to unearth.”

Other event highlights include rola bola hand balancing and Chinese poleacrobatics from CyriousAcro and unicyclinggoldfish balancing from TheAmazing Mr Fish. High energy world fusion dance band, Nizami will officially open the main festival on Saturday at the Peace Out stage, bringing their upbeat marimba rhythms. Buskers by the Lake is the perfect family-day-out as Sportsmans Parade hosts a specially curated and totally fun area of KidsCreative Arts. Let the little ones get creative as they enjoy face painting, hula-hooping, tie-dye KidzArT workshops taught by other children aged five to ten.

Exploring this jam-packed festival is sure to be hungry and thirsty work. Buskers by the Lake has everyone covered with the Heartlands and Bohemian Bars as well as a roster of delicious festival eats on offer.

If that's not enough, music lovers can catch the prestigious Battle of the Buskers, previously won by Aussie fave Tones and I, on Friday 29 October at Eleven Dive Bar.  Watch as South East Queensland's top singer-songwriters go head to head to win a suite of coveted prizes. Those seeking a little more fun after dark can stick around for the 18+Sundowner Celebration, when the Heartlands bar transforms into a party paradise. Finally, the Halloween inspired freak show, Deja Voodoo hosted by celebrity sideshow performer Space Cowboy, will be taking over Venue 114.  Halloween lovers can jump aboard the voodoo train with the fifty-five time Guinness World Record holder as he presents his devilish cast in a Halloween Shock Show at Venue 114.

There's something for everyone at Buskers by the Lake, so secure those tickets today.
