A fusion of Asian flavours, gourmet picnic and unique experience where the Mediterranean meets Maroochydore are some of the events set to tantalise taste buds this winter.

The anticipation is building for The Curated Plate, the Sunshine Coast’s annual food and drink festival and one of Queensland’s celebrations of culinary excellence, local produce and our environment

Running from July 25 until August 3, some signature events have already sold out, but there’s still plenty on the table, according to Festival Culinary Director and renowned chef Peter Kuruvita.

“The Curated Plate is more than just a food festival – it’s a celebration of place, produce and people,” Mr Kuruvita said.

“This region has such an incredible story to tell through food, and I’m proud to be part of a program that brings local growers, chefs and communities together in such a meaningful way.

“I encourage everyone to book now to secure their seat at the table in what is Queensland’s leading food and drink festival – and come out to support the incredible local producers, chefs, restaurants and communities that make it all possible.”

Still hungry for tickets? Here’s what’s on the menu:

  • Asian Food Festival at Spicers Tamarind Retreat – a delicious fusion of flavours with some of the region’s best Asian restaurants, all in one lush rainforest setting. Think sizzling street food, fresh oysters, first class drinks and live music under the stars.
  • Picnic on the Green at The Doonan – lounge on your own picnic rug, enjoy a gourmet hamper for two, filled with fresh local produce from Eumundi, Chevallum and Glass House Mountains,
  • Toro’s Sunshine Coast Meets Spain  – Mediterranean flavours with a local twist across a 10-course sharing meal, drinks and cocktails using Sunshine Coast produce with Spanish-inspired concepts and a Flamenco show for entertainment.
  • Feast: Seed to Plate at Alsahwa Estate  – a stunning new venue where you can wander through the beauty of Botanica, gather in the Edible Garden before taking a seat at their Harvest Table for a three-course celebration.
