Lucky enough to still have a few days off and feeling like it is time to get active with your dog? Looking for the best places to take them? The Sunshine Coast Council has made it easier than ever with an interactive map that highlights dog-friendly areas.

Whether you're enjoying a staycation or visiting, this map is a must-have tool. It shows off-leash and on-leash areas, zones where dogs aren’t allowed and even locations of dog water bowls to keep your pet hydrated. It also marks turtle and shorebird nesting areas, helping to protect local wildlife.

Dog owners are reminded to always carry a leash, ensure their pets are wearing their blue Council tag and bring more than one doggie poo bag. This ensures that everyone can enjoy the beautiful coast without any mess left behind.

The Council's initiative aims to promote responsible pet ownership while making it easy for dog lovers to explore the region with their furry friends.

Enjoy your walks and let’s keep our coast beautiful!

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share. We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the important role First Nations people continue to play within the Sunshine Coast community.
