Our Sunshine Coast community has united in a powerful display of solidarity, standing with victims of domestic and family violence at the annual march and candlelight vigil at Cotton Tree Park.
The event, organised as part of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, saw an overwhelming turnout, reflecting the community's commitment to standing up against domestic and family violence.
This year's theme, "Don't Stand By - Stand Up!", resonated deeply with participants who gathered at the corner of Cornmeal Parade and Horton Parade at 5pm on May 7, leading a sea of supporters to the vigil site.

The atmosphere was one of unity and determination as people of all ages and backgrounds walked together, holding signs and banners advocating for change.
The candlelight vigil, was a poignant moment of reflection and remembrance for victims of domestic violence. The soft glow of candles illuminated the park, creating a serene and solemn environment where attendees could honour those affected by such violence and renew their commitment to prevention and support.
