Looking for a quick and refreshing outdoor escape? Right in the heart of Nambour, the Cilento Bushland Conservation Reserve offers a short rainforest walk leading to a beautiful hidden waterfall.
This local gem is part of the many experiences you can discover through Adventure Sunshine Coast – your go-to guide for exploring our region’s best trails and nature spots
What you’ll find
Starting from the Cilento Bushland Conservation Reserve, you’ll wander along a shady bush track surrounded by lush greenery, birdsong and the gentle sound of running water.
The trail leads down to a beautiful little waterfall – a popular spot for photos and, when the weather warms up, a refreshing dip.

Good to know
- Easy 900m loop walk
- Great for families (just keep an eye on little ones)
- Dogs welcome on-lead
- Picnic tables, BBQs, playground and amenities available
A few tips before you go
This is a natural bush setting, so a little care goes a long way:
- The waterfall isn’t fenced
- Tracks and rocks can be slippery
- There’s a small rock crossing to complete the loop
- After rain, some sections may be wet or flooded
The good news? Recent upgrades have made the track more resilient, with improved drainage, new steps and better surfaces.
Make a morning of it
Pack a picnic, fire up the BBQ, or let the kids enjoy the playground before or after your walk. You can also swing into Nambour for a coffee or bite to eat.
