Celebrate QLD Day with food, footy and fun
Show your state pride at free community party

It’s Maroon season and Queenslanders are invited to gather with family and friends, roll out a picnic rug and celebrate QLD Day at a free community party on Saturday, June 6, from 3 to 9pm.
The QLD Day Party will be a relaxed evening filled with live music, family-friendly activities and outdoor entertainment under the stars – including footy and netball on the big-screen!
Two of the Mega Round games will be screened, NRL: North Queensland Cowboys versus Dolphins and Super Netball: Queensland Firebirds versus Sunshine Coast Lightning.
The event, generously funded by the Queensland Government, will be held at the heritage-listed Landsborough Museum.
The venue is located at 4 Maleny Street, just a short walk from Landsborough train station (with affordable 50 cent train fares).

Show your state pride
Mayor Rosanna Natoli said QLD Day was the perfect opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate everything that makes Queensland special.
“We all know Queensland is the best state, and now’s the time to show our pride,” Mayor Natoli said.
“QLD Day marks the day we broke free from New South Wales in 1859, and we've been revelling in that independent spirit ever since.
“This is about recognising all the best things about our state: our people, our places and our lifestyle.
“Whether you’re from the beach, the mountains or anywhere in between, QLD Day brings us together to commemorate what makes our community unique.
“I’ll certainly be wearing maroon on the sixth, let’s go Queenslanders!”

The Sunshine Coast lights up
