NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and you can find meaningful ways to learn more about First Nations culture for free through Sunshine Coast Libraries.

Enjoy First Nations Art at Maroochydore Library

From now until 19 July, visit Maroochydore Library Artspace to experience Nan'garim Mi'bir, a vibrant exhibition by Sammy Ray Jones Peer Waneragal.

Through bright canvases, natural fibres and upcycled objects, Sammy shares stories of change and resilience, offering insight into the region’s history and the evolving coastal landscape.

The exhibition is open during library hours, offering a powerful opportunity to reflect on Country, community and creativity.
