Suitability

Suitable for all fitness levels and ages, from superstar netball players, like the Sunshine Coast Lightning’s Mahalia Cassidy, to young preschoolers learning the wonders of the great outdoors!

Highlights

Starting at the lower entry point, the falls loop begins with a 700m elevated wooden section of boardwalk. When the boardwalk ends, you begin the short trail to Buderim Falls and Serenity Bridge - a high arching bridge spanning across the falls and creek falls.

As you get closer to the falls, you will need to cross over a rocky section, be careful as this can be slippery.

At Serenity Bridge, take time to admire the falls, and capture an image of the lush surrounds.
From here you can retrace your steps or add on the hillier Forest Loop circuit before returning to the boardwalk.

For those wishing to exit on the upper entry point, take the reasonably steep track up to Quorn Close. Here you will be greeted with picnic tables, barbeque facilities and a large car park.

As you embark this journey, make sure you take the time to soak in the serenity of the rainforest, bubbling crystal cascades and sounds of nature. The entire 2.4 km loop, taking time to stop, photograph and enjoy the surrounds is approximately 45 minutes.

The water hole is particularly spectacular after significant rainfall!

Afterwards

There are picnic grounds, BBQ facilities and tables available at both ends of the reserve. From the top end, Buderim township is less than 1km away with an array of cafes. At the bottom end is Harry’s Restaurant which overlooks a large open reserve. Please preserve the area’s beauty and take your rubbish with you.

How to get there

Upper entry starting point: The upper entry point (which is closest to the waterfalls) is via Quorn Close, which runs off Lindsay Road at the top of Buderim. This takes you directly on to the Forest Loop Circuit. At Serenity Bridge you can join the lower track if you like. There is ample parking at this entry point.
Lower entry starting point: The lower boardwalk entry is via Harry’s Lane off Lindsay Road (off the lower end of Jones Road). There is ample parking at this entry point.
