This lush, shady bush trail is perfect for those happy to get their heart rate up!

The natural bushland provides valuable habitat for gliders, wallabies, koalas and more than 60 species of birds.

You’ll find this forest is dominated by Blackbutt, Tallow Wood and Grey Gums, while sheltered gullies protect pockets of ferns and rainforest plants including several rare species.

Suitability

This short 1.2 kilometre trail on the edge of Nambour is suitable for walkers and those new to trail running. Dogs on lead also welcome.

Highlights

The park itself has a large picnic area with a playground, BBQ facilities, seating and amenities.

The recreation loop is approximately 1km, following a short bush track around the forest. The walk requires you to loop back up to the entrance, which includes a steep incline of stairs guaranteed to make you break into a light sweat!

There is a rest area before the incline, so take a moment to enjoy the views and breath in the bushland experience.

For those wishing to increase the heart rate, the loop branches off down to the lower street level and follows a steep stairway as you journey back to the recreation loop. This is a great option if you're looking to do a short endurance session or new to trail running!
