In 2024, Leading charity endED were named the Sunshine Coast Biosphere Community organisation of the year for their unwavering support to individuals and families experiencing eating disorders.

Through their House of Hope in Woombye, they provide programs, such as counselling, creative activities, and support groups, which foster a sense of belonging and hope.

How does that relate to the Sunshine Coast Biosphere?

By promoting mental health and well-being, endED enhances the overall health of the Sunshine Coast, something which which aligns perfectly with the Biosphere's goals of sustainable living and community well-being.

Their efforts exemplify the positive impact of community-driven initiatives on regional sustainability and health.

If you know someone making a difference to our region, nominate them for a Sunshine Coast Biosphere Community Award by April 30.

There are eight categories to nominate in. Visit Council’s website for details.
