School students waving streamers in celebration of 6 years to go!

More than 350 students from Kawana Waters State College Primary School have come together on the field at Sunshine Coast Stadium to celebrate six years to go until the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In a colourful display of community spirit and excitement, the students formed a giant ‘6’, marking the countdown to the Games and the Sunshine Coast’s role as a Co-Host City.

We hope to welcome these students back to Sunshine Coast Stadium in 2030, when the stadium upgrade is complete and the countdown reaches just two years to go.

Until then, the journey to 2032 continues.
