Free program to boost business resilience

Sunshine Coast Council has launched the Resilient Business Series, a free, practical program designed to help local businesses prepare for, respond to and recover from unexpected disruptions.

Sunshine Coast Council has launched a free and practical Resilient Business Series program to help local businesses.

Up to 40 per cent of small businesses in Australia never reopen after a disaster – and of those that do, many shut their doors within a year*.

Whether it’s a flood, bushfire, cyberattack or economic shock, the Sunshine Coast is no stranger to disruption. That’s why local businesses are being urged to act now – not later.

To help, Sunshine Coast Council has launched the Resilient Business Series, a free, practical program designed to help local businesses prepare for, respond to and recover from unexpected disruptions.

From risk assessments and cyber security to financial resilience and emergency planning, the series covers everything a business needs to stay operational during a crisis.

Sunshine Coast Resilient Economy Portfolio Councillor Terry Landsberg encouraged local businesses to sign up to the free program.

“Business continuity planning isn’t just about surviving the next storm – it’s about thriving long after it passes,” Cr Landsberg said.

“This series gives our local businesses the tools they need to stay strong, adapt quickly and bounce back faster.”
