Drop everything (except your plate)! The Curated Plate festival is happening right now!
Here’s the dish. From today, The Curated Plate serves up more than 100 events over the next nine days from Caloundra to Eumundi and everywhere in-between.
Foodies eager to get a taste of all things Sunshine Coast will enjoy culinary delights created by local chefs and cooks using fresh local produce through special events, tours, masterclasses and more.
From today, July 28 to August 6, more than 300 local restaurants, farms, tourism and event operators are working together to welcome locals and visitors seeking the best of local food and beverage experiences.
With five events already sold out and many more close to selling out, last-minute ticket buyers are urged to check out the menu of events to avoid disappointment.
Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Mark Jamieson said this culinary festival celebrated the relationship between the chef and the producer – and showcased our region, local award-winning food producers and world-class restauranteurs.
“Our region is well known for its outstanding natural beauty - pristine hinterland, the majestic Glasshouse Mountains and beautiful world-class beaches, and we have a long history of food and agricultural production where the quality of our products has always been at the top of the range,” Mayor Jamieson said.
”The Curated Plate brings these two elements together in perfect synergy to capture something that locals have known for a very long time.
“We are indeed, the quintessential “foodie” destination – and that will be on show for all to see over the next 10 days.”
