Tree-lined Maleny Trail

This trail weaves through old growth forest and hugs Obi Obi Creek. Bring your togs and enjoy this 3.2km one way Adventure Sunshine Coast trail!

Suitable for walkers, mostly suited to prams and wheelchairs and recreational cyclists – a few steps and water to negotiate at the end near Reynolds Crossing if you choose to cross over.

Also known as the Peace in the Trees Sculpture Walk, it features many inspirational art works sculpted by local artists, inviting people to contemplate and reflect on the natural environment – a unique community endeavour.

The Reynolds Crossing Circuit is short but with steps. Take off your shoes to cross Obi Obi creek for a swim at Gardners Falls.

It is possible to return to town via roads.When walking by the creek make sure you keep your eye out for platypus.

There are picnic places and bush toilets at Gardners Falls and a number of popular swimming holes.

If you want to have a varied walk on your way back stay on the same side of the creek and do a loop around Maleny Golf Course, taking Obi Lane and Porters Lane to reconnect to the cement section of the trail.

The Spicers Tamarind resort and restaurant are across the creek near Gardners Falls and just down Obi Lane South – for when you have a special occasion to celebrate.

There are also many fine cafes and restaurants at Maleny.

To the starting point: Head to the roundabout at the junction of Maple, Coral and Bunya Streets and find a car park close by.

The walk starts about 10 metres from the roundabout on the same side of the road as Woolworths, on the creek bank opposite – you can’t miss the boardwalk.

To the end point: The end point being the same as your starting point. You can make this an out and back trip or a circular trip by returning via roads.
