The Sunshine Coast boasts plenty of options for skate parks, but here’s our top 5.
1) Alex Skate Park
A favourite on the Coast, Alex Skate Park is one of the largest and most popular skate parks in Queensland. Located right on the water at Alexandra Headlands, it is a picturesque place to show off your skills. Alex Skate Park is the place to be.
Amenities: Toilets, water fountains and paved pathways.
Location: Next to the Alex Surf Club on Alexandra Pde, Alexandra Heads.
Nearby: Located right next the Alex Surf Club and across the road from some fantastic cafes and restaurants.

2) Nambour Skate Park
Nambour Skate Park and Youth Activity Precinct is one of the most exciting skate parks on the Coast. The award-winning facility hosts a basketball half-court, shade structures, terrace seating, pathways, shade trees, climbing structures, a fenced playground and community event spaces.
Amenities: Water fountains, toilets, playground, barbecues, shelter and picnic tables
Location: Quota Memorial Park, Corner of Matthew St and Ann St in Nambour.
Nearby: Goong’Gai’Ba Indigenous Garden and the Veteran Memorial Space and Cenotaph

3) Coolum Beach Skate Park
Coolum Skate Park is located in Tickle Park on the northern side of the Coolum Surf Club. Coolum Skate Park has a continuous bowl junior ½ pipe, grind block, slide rail, vertical wall drops, manual pod and pump feature. Most of the skate park is sheltered by shade sails, so it’s a great place to skate in Summer.

Nearby: Coolum Surf Club, Tickle Park with a playground and BBQ shelters, and plenty of fantastic cafes and restaurants or pack a picnic and enjoy it in the many picnic shelters nearby.

4) Dicky Beach Skate Park
Sunshine Coast’s newest skate park, Dicky Beach Skate Park recent major renewal includes high-quality ramps, rails, grind ledges, quarter pipes and stairs. Plus, there’s a shaded seating area for spectators to enjoy the action. The park also includes the story and propeller from the SS Dicky wreck as a feature in the precinct.

Location: Beerburrum Street, Dicky Beach.
Nearby: Dicky Beach Surf Club, Dicky Beach Holiday Park and across the road from some cafes and restaurants.

5) Caloundra Skate Park
Caloundra Skate Park is fully fenced and supervised by the Caloundra Aquatic Lifestyle Centre staff. The facility features grind rails, grinding block, double launch ramp, 5ft ¾ bowl, 6ft ¾ bowl, 7ft ¾ bowl, two ¼ bowls and three spines. Multiple shade sails cover over half the facility.
