Community CoLab: New intimate venue in City Centre

Community CoLab is brand-new versatile space now open in the Maroochydore City Centre. Managed by Council’s experienced Community Venues team, the venue-for-hire accommodates up to 20 people for a variety of small events.

The Maroochydore City Centre welcomes a new addition to its vibrant community with the opening of Community CoLab, a low-cost venue-for-hire on the ground floor of the Sunshine Coast City Hall building.

Managed by Council’s experienced Community Venues team, Community CoLab offers a versatile space accommodating up to 20 people, providing an excellent venue for a variety of small events.

Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Rosanna Natoli extended a warm welcome to Community CoLab, the latest inclusion in the portfolio of venues operated on behalf of the community.

“CoLab is a space that reflects our deep connection to the land, creating an exciting and valuable addition to the Maroochydore City Centre,” Mayor Natoli said.

“This underlines Council’s commitment to fostering accessible and affordable spaces for the community’s benefit.

“It is also another example of how we are connecting and engaging with our communities to build a better future for everyone.

“Community CoLab is anticipated to be a valuable resource in meeting the increasing demand for community spaces in the region.

“I look forward to seeing our community enjoy this space.”

Community CoLab features a large screen TV to facilitate presentations, whiteboard, folding tables on wheels and kitchenette with dishwasher.
